With a cavalier gesture, he left his gym bag upon the car’s hood and strode back inside. It was a humble assemblage of garments, shorts, tank tops, and shoes, but significance was not measured in mere fabric. The transgressor had traversed the parking lot with the agility of a cat before Franco’s vigilant gaze could intercept him.

A single, symbolic slap echoed through the air; it was not intended to inflict pain, for fear’s torment far surpassed any physical retribution. “You will never do this again!” Franco hissed, punctuating the gravity of the moment. He once more hoisted the trembling transgressor and carried him into the gym’s shadowy interior.
“Arnold! Come here!” Franco summoned his comrade, and Arnold answered the call. At that time, he stood at an imposing 240 pounds, his physique a monument to muscularity.
“I caught this man stealing my training bag. Now, do you have something to say to him?” Franco inquired.
Within the gym’s hallowed walls, a congregation of colossal bodies began to gather, a silent chorus to this unfolding drama. At the forefront, Arnold’s visage twisted into a carefully practiced scowl, for the art of performance was no stranger to him.
“You do this again, you die,” Arnold growled, a menacing timbre to his voice. Franco’s erstwhile thief appeared to have aged decades under the weight of Arnold’s decree. The chorus echoed threatening undertones, providing a symphony of menace.
For one last time, Franco hoisted the transgressor, carrying him back into the fading sunlight outside the gym’s portal. When he gently returned the young man to the earth, a backward step followed by a stark paralysis ensued.
“Well?” Franco inquired, his voice echoing with authority.
Arnold had accompanied them to the outdoor stage. “Like a fish,” Arnold observed. “I don’t think he knows he is free.”
Perhaps the shock of this strange journey into an alternate reality had arrested the thief’s senses, plunging him into a realm where colossal titans reigned supreme, a clandestine order of sweat-soaked demigods. Franco vividly recalled his own initial bewilderment when he crossed the threshold into this alien world—a land where the boundaries between the real and the surreal blurred. Therein, the notion of a distant California or the extraordinary potential of American-honed muscle seemed but elusive dreams.
“It’s all right,” Franco declared with a benevolent nod. “You can go.”
And with that, the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows upon this tale of a stolen bag, and the thief departed, carrying with him the lingering echoes of his encounter with the masters of the iron realm.
