Syringes and Testosterone found in El Chapo Guzman’s Lair
El Chapo Guzmán, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, was arrested recently for suspicion of countless murders and smuggling billions of dollars worth of drugs into the United States. But what’s really alarming is the news that in Chapo’s downstairs bedroom, there were flat screen TVs and a sofa littered with condoms, antibiotics, syringes, and testosterone. Testosterone. Officials are concerned that El Chapo’s testosterone usage, not unlike cyclists and baseball players who take steroids, could have provided him an unfair advantage in the drug trade. They’re also worried testosterone effects such as stronger bones, plenty of energy, a healthier heart, increased muscle mass, stronger erections and a healthy libido, increased confidence, greater happiness, and a sharper mind, may have given him an unsportsmanlike advantage against rival cartel leaders as well as just the edge he needed to evade authorities. It is too early to determine whether Guzman will be subpoenaed to testify at a congressional hearing on testosterone and whether a drug-testing program for drug lords will be enacted.
