One of the perks of training at Ab Salute Gym in Brentwood is the occasional “isolated incident”, this one involving a pole whack to the back.
It is hard to imagine such violence could break out at a gym named after a clever play on the word “absolute”.
No one could have predicted the gym owners official statement, “We do not condone violence in any of our gyms and take this very seriously”.
Essex police count the casualties as, “A 17-year-old boy suffered bruising and cuts and a 27-year-old man suffered a cut above his eye”.
